COLOMBO: RPSL Consortium is a company limited by guarantee. Primarily, RPSL was created as a free structured platform, known as Regain Peace Sri Lanka, to unite intellectuals and bring together all our sister organizations – to create a common platform to work towards a sustainable future. A significant number of intellectual communities from diverse fields come together to discuss specific community-related issues, and these were initially observed and discussed under the “Vision-2030 Envisioning Sustainable Future”. The RPSL Consortium convened several meetings to bring a conceptual map and agreed on working strategies focusing on the ‘Love to See’ approach in 2030 among the Muslim community and the country. Accordingly, several sectoral committees have been established to undertake programmes, activities and webinars to reach wider audiences with abled and experienced resources to accomplish the objectives. The aim of forming sectoral committees is to identify significant issues and take collective action for community development, with the hope of empowering community members and creating stronger and more connected communities – Youth Empowerment, Law and Order, Interfaith Dialogue and Peacebuilding, Women Empowerment, and Education and Awareness are the sectors created for the time being. Each committee has its own mandate and terms of reference. The esteemed advisory panel members joined with the sectoral committee(s) to guide and advise the teams to achieve the goals of each sector.
The consortium consists of a panel of highly qualified professionals including but not limited to former judges of superior courts of Sri Lanka, former ambassadors, ministers, sportsmen, medical practitioners, president’s counsels, academia, engineers, accountants, attorneys-at-law, businessmen etc.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a crucial event for the Consortium and is scheduled to be held on 30th April 2023. The event promises to be a grand occasion, bringing together the Consortium’s members and providing a platform to celebrate and reflect on their collective achievements and provides an opportunity to renew that commitment and build momentum for the future. The AGM will feature keynote addresses from eminent personalities of the Consortium’s advisory panel and board of management, highlighting the future endeavours of the Consortium. The event will also feature networking opportunities, allowing members to connect with like-minded individuals and potential partners to collaborate on future initiatives on achieving its primary objectives.

Message form the Vice President
(Mr. Wazeer Mukhthar)
It is a great pleasure and honor for me, as a founder of RPSL, to continue serving the organization as its Vice President. RPSL Consortium was established in Kandy shortly after the 2019 Easter attack with the objective of repositioning and rebranding the Sri Lankan Muslim community within the national context. This non-profit, non-charitable, free structured independent common platform promotes a cohesive and harmonious living environment in a pluralistic society and effectively addresses social challenges.
RPSL is unique in its ability to bring together all stakeholders of the community, including professionals, academics, businessmen, and politicians, to communicate on a common agenda. It promotes consensus and understanding, inter-community and intra-community integration, and fosters integrity and trust among and about the Muslim community in a much more effective manner. In 2022, RPSL was registered as a Company limited by Guarantee under the Company Law of Sri Lanka. Since its inception, RPSL has been able to collectively meet many of its goals and has made a considerable impact in the country. With our dedicated team, we look forward to continuing our vital role in nation-building and achieving sustainable progress.
