COLOMBO — The Egyptian embassy in collaboration with One Galle Face had organized a “Women plus Bazaar” cultural extravaganza that goes beyond showcasing the vibrant heritage of Nine Provinces of Sri Lanka.
It was held at the One Galle Face Mall on Saturday March 23
it will continue till Sunday l 24th March from 10 am – to 10 pm.
The Embassy’s deep commitment to supporting the Sri Lankan
crafters, women, small entrepreneurs, persons with special abilities, and elders. This event promises to be a heartwarming fusion of artistry, culture, and compassion.
At the core of the Nine Province is the celebration of craftsmanship and artistry. Large number of visitors visits the handmade products, intricate handicrafts, and exquisite artifacts stalls at One Galle Face Mall.
The Governor of Eastern Province Senthil Thondaman , Governor of the Northern Province P. S. M. Charles , State Minister – Women and Child Affairs Geetha Kumarasinghe , Chairman , National Craft Council Sampath Erahapola, Malaysia Former Minister of Labour Saravanan and Ambassador of Egypt to Sri Lanka Maged Mosleh were present at the opening ceremony.
High Commissioner of Bangladesh Tareq Md Ariful Islam along with counselors and representatives of Romania, Palestine, UAE, Malaysia and Indonesia embassies were also present.
