Zam Zam Foundation Launches “School with a Smile 2023” to help the needy students

COLOMBO : The Zam Zam Foundation Launched its  “School with a Smile 2023”  programme for the seventh year in succession on Sunday, December 11 at the BMICH in Colombo. The project which has benefitted more than 87,000 students irrespective of their religion in all parts of the island is funded by philanthropists in the country.

The inauguration was graced by Dinesh Gunawardana, Prime Minister of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as the chief guest of the event. Hon. Ali Sabri, Minster of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Kader Masthan, State Minister of Rural Economy, Hon. Prof. Ranjith Bandara M.P, Hon. Dallas Alahapperuma, M.P, Diplomats, Officials, Community Leaders, Multi Religious Leaders, Well-wishers and School students also participated.

It was held under the patronage of Chairman of the Foundation Mufthi Yoosuf Haniffa and Welcome address was delivered by Zam Zam Foundation Director Ajward Cader.

The foundation has so far helped students from needy families all over the place in Sri Lanka to continue their education without any hindrance due to poverty or other similar factors.

Mufthi Yoosuf Haniffa handed over the Rs 72 Million worth school packs worth  voucher for deserving students to the chief guest Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardana. Who distributed among the deserving students at the inauguration ceremony.
