COLOMBO – on the 1st of July, the Zahira College grounds hosted the Week 3 match of the Dialog Schools Rugby League 2023. The home team, Zahira College, faced off against Science College. Demonstrating a strong collective performance, the Maradana boys secured their second consecutive victory with a scoreline of 24-08.
Suhaad Endra, Hakeen Chunchi, Mohommed Saif and Mohommed RIfad were the try scorers for Zahira As they secured the all-important bonus point and Ahamed Saad converted 2 of them successfully .Oshada Mahamudinsalage scored solitary try for Science College along with a successful penalty kick.
Zahira College have won both the games they played in the Schools Rugby League so far by showcasing good, fast and skilled rugby. Their heavy and powerful forwards has been a highlight so far. Zahira College will be facing a stiff challenge as they will face Royal College on 8th July at Royal Complex.
