COLOMBO: The Young Women’s Muslim Association,YWMA, headed by Fawaza Thaha, entertained more than 100 kids to mark the international Children’s Day in Colombo on Saturday, October 22.at the YMMA Conference headquarters.
The event was organised by Youth champs of the YWMA chaired by the team leader Zahra Thaha.
The online competition’s prizes & certificates were distributed to the winners at the event. All participants received certificates and various competitions took place at the event. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Kulsoom Quizer Jailani, Secretary for the press and culture. The
Guest of honor was Mrs Sera Jayasekara, Principal of Jayasekara Montesori School.
The following were present as special guests, Boyke Nurdin, counsellor of the Indonesian embassy, Ihsan Ahamed, National President of All Ceylon YMMA Conference,Deshamanya Khalid Farouk, Chairman Nazeera Hussain Foundation and Mohammed Rasooldeen Chief Editor Colombo Times.
The Project Chairperson Zahra Thaha directed the programmes on the stage, while the compere of the day was Zumra Thaha.
