Showers will occur at times in Nuwara-Eliya, Mathale, Badulla and Bandarawela districts.Several spells of showers will occur in Eastern and North-central provinces and in Hambanthota, Mullaitivu and Kandy districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at few places in Sabaragamuwa province and in Kaluthara, Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 pm.
Fairly heavy falls above 50 mm can be expected at some places in Badulla, Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Wind speed can increase up to 40 kmph at times in Northern, North-Central, North-Western, Central, Uva, Eastern and Southern provinces.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
