WC T20I SUPER12: Brilliant bowling effort allows Pakistan to register 6 wickets win against Netherlands


PERTH: Pakistan beat Netherlands by 6 wickets and collected its first 2 points in this tournament. A brilliant bowling effort by Pakistan saw Netherlands forced to post only 91 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their innings after Netherlands choose to bat after winning the toss. In the powerplay Pakistan bowlers gave away only 19 runs.
Shadabh Khan (adjudged player of the match) continued his good form picking up three wickets today while Shaheen Afridi coming in to the tournament post recovery from injury picked up his first wicket of the tournament.


Pakistan chased down the target in the 14th over which effects the Net Run Rate positively. Pakistan skipper’s form would still be a worry with Babar Azam run out today for just 4 runs. Rizwan played well for 49 runs to ensure Pakistan reaches the target (91/4 off 13.5 overs). This is also Pakistan first win in T20is in Australia.
