WC T20I SF1: Pakistan cruise to the Final with Babar & Rizwan partnership – Kiwis stumble at the Semis.

SYDNEY: Pakistan secured a convincing win against the Kiwis by 7 wickets with Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and Rizwan setting the tone with a scintillating half centuries. Pakistan will now face either India or England at the Final scheduled on Sunday, 13th November. It is the first time in 13 years that Pakistan has reached the finals in an international cricket world cup tournament.
Batting first Kiwis set a target of 152 for loss of 4 wickets. Shaheen Afridi back among the wickets picked up 2 wickets for 24 runs. Daryl Mitchell scored 53 runs unbeaten while the New Zealand skipper Williamson scored 46 runs.
Pakistan opening pair who were under criticism from cricketing gurus in the recent past put together a solid partnership of 105 runs. Babar fell for Trent Boult for 53 runs. Rizwan hit 57 runs off 43 balls. Haris guided Pakistan with vital 30 runs off 26 balls. Pakistan reached the target in the last over (153 runs) for the fall of just three wickets to record a 7 wickets win.
