Vivekananda College holds innovative exhibition

COLOMBO- The  Vivekananda College in Colombo 13, organized a grand innovation exhibition at the school premises organized by the teachers and students on Friday, Nov.4.

This exhibition, which includes students’ creations and innovations, covers all matters related to education for the benefit of students and parents.

The exhibition was inaugurated yesterday by Education Minister Susil Premjayanth. Around 50 students who were selected winners of various contests in the production of exhibits and won in many fields including new discoveries in the exhibition were given certificates by the minister.

It is noteworthy that on the second day, a large number of students and parents came to visit. The exhcollegibition will end tomorrow, Sunday Nov. 6.

The principal of Vivekananda college C Ravichandrika   said that the exhibition is being held after a lapse of two years following the Covid pandemic which affected the whole country. The exhibition, she said was organized for the students to not only to display their skills but also to give them an opportunity to come out of the traumatic period which they underwent due to pandemic and economic crisis.

For the past two years due to the corona virus and for some time after that due to political and economic reasons, the educational activities of the students were greatly affected and a kind of fatigue was seen among the students. In this situation, schools are now fully operational and learning activities are taking place. In this situation, the principal of the school said that he is conducting an innovation exhibition in his school in order to relieve the tired conditions of the students and to encourage them and to show their knowledge and potential.
