COLOMBO — Purawalar Puththaka Poonga had organized a reception to the Indian Delegation led by Indian Union Muslim League National President former Indian parliamentarian Prof. K.M. Kader Mohideen at the Purawalar Puththaka Poonga Secretariat in Colombo on Monday December.
Professor Mohideen is also the National President of the Indian Union of Muslim League.
It was held under the patronage of the Founder of Purawalar Puththaka Poonga and Tower Hall Foundation Director Hassim Omar.
Prof. Kader Mohideen said Hassim Omar is known not only in Sri Lanka but also in the Indian sub-continent by way of his philanthropic services. “ He has been helping the young and old writers to publish their works. Hassim Omar received the first copy of the books in India also the Indian Media also published his contributions and Prof. Mohideen draped the Golden Shawl on Hassim Omar at the evening event followed by a sumptuous dinner.

The State Literary Award recipient the writer Al Asoomath was honoured by Prof. K.M. Kader Mohideen and Colombo Times Editor in Chief and Arab News Foreign Correspondent Mohamed Rasooldeen honoured Dr. Jaleel Sulthan of Thirichchi District, India.
Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) News Editor Shiyam Cassim, Independent Television Network ( Vasantham TV ) News Editor Siddeek Haniffa and other Print and Electronic Media personnel’s graced the colorful ceremony. The popular writer from Weligama,Rimza Mohammed also presented her book during the event.
During his short stay in Colombo, Professor Mohideen attended a chain of functions in Colombo and he also met Justice Minister Ali Sabry and SLMC Leader Rauf Hakeem in Colombo.
