COLOMBO : MACKSONS organic agri project was formulated with this goal and to provide income opportunities for low income families and farming communities around the island. The production of organic fertilizer and safe pesticides will be carried out under the expertise and guidance of UCIARS (University of Colombo Institute of Agro Technology & Rural Sciences). This venture will be sponsored by
Macksons and executed at Macktiles Lanka Pvt Ltd premises. In fulfilling this aim, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the University of Colombo and Macksons Holdings this week at the College House.
The agreement was signed by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. H. D. Karunaratne and Managing Director of Macksons, Mizver Makeen.
