COLOMBO – The Ahasa Media Network had organized awards ceremony at the Mahaweli Center, Colombo on Tuesday January 31. It was held under the patronage of CEO of the Ahasa Media Mrs. Priyanga Bandaranaike.
The Awards were presented in various fields such as Cultural, Arts, Media, Drama and Film.
Senior Journalists Zanita Careem, formerly from the Island, and Anandi Balasingham, foremely from Thinakran received awards for the contribution to media from Minister of Buddhasasana Religious and Cultural Affairs Vidura Wickramanayaka, Deputy Inspector General of Police Bimshani Jasin Arachchi, Ahasa Media Network Advisor Hassim Omar and Royal College Principal R.M.M. Rathnayake.
