NUWARA ELIYA: The Traveller Football Academy beat the visitors again from Maldives 2-1 to continue the annual encounter for the second year. The Maldives team had very clearly improved compared to last year, giving the local boys a tough fight till the last minute. Although Traveller Academy scored first in the first half, the visitors were quick with the equaliser in the second half. The second half was critical for both teams as they were 1-1 for almost 20 minutes. Pressure increasing from both sides to clinch victory, Traveller academy had the answer with a brilliant goal. The final goal by Traveller was stopped with a dive by the keeper only to score with the second try. The individual brilliance was the crescendo to a hard fought match in the highlands of nuwaraeliya our own little England, in this tropical paradise. The visiting team truly enjoyed the change in weather and the challenge of Traveller Football Academy.
