Tokyo lifts re-entry ban on Lankans

COLOMBO:  The Re-entry ban imposed on Sri Lankan nationals is lifted with effect from September 20, 2021, said the Japanese Embassy in Colombo.

Those who have a valid re-entry permit with a valid visa of any category is eligible for this measure, it added noting that all other border restrictions imposed due to Covid 19 pandemic will remain the same.

The Japanese Embassy went on to note that the issuance of a visa is suspended until further notice unless there are special exceptional circumstances.
