COLOMBO : The GCE Ordinary Level Examination 2023 (2024) will commence on Monday (6) countrywide.
Accordingly, the examination will be held from May 6 to 15. The admission cards of the school candidates should be collected from the principals of the respective schools while the admission cards of the private candidates have already been posted to the personal addresses.
Both the private and school candidates should have received their admission cards by now.
Examinations Commissioner General H.J.M.C. Amit Jayasundara advised the candidates to contact the Examinations Department if there is any issue relating to the examination. The examination time table is also attached to the admission card.

Jayasundara said that no candidate will lose their requested subject due to any error in the admission cards.
He emphasized that the errors in the admission cards have been rectified so far and no candidate will be deprived of the subject they requested.
Many candidates were admitted to the science subjects which the candidates had not asked for and none of them were deprived of the subject they had asked for. He also said that this will not be problematic for the candidates.
Jayasundara said that private candidates and schools had been given the opportunity to correct any problems in the admission cards.- Indiaone
