T20 WC final: Stroke strikes Pakistan! England crowned T20 world champion

MELBOURNE: English bowlers put the brakes on the Pakistani batsmen to restrict to less than par score of 137 and Ben Strokes hit a valuable half century to ensure they reached the score comfortable with an over to spare.
S.Curran and Adil Rashid successfully curtailed Pakistani run flow by picking up 3 wickets for 12 runs and 2 for 22 runs respectively to halt Pakistani dream of a high score. Masood hit 38 runs and skipper Babar azam scored 32 runs for Pakistan.
Chasing the target, England got in to a rocky Start with 2 wickets falling for 32 runs with Salt and Hales back in the dressing room. However, Ben strokes and Brook came together to navigate England closer to shores. Haris Rauf picked up 2 wickets for 10 runs however it was just not sufficient. Needing 50 runs off 40 balls with 6 wickets in hand were in the driving seat to pick the crown. England reached 138 for loss of 5 wickets in the 19th over to win by 5 wickets. Sam Curran was the player of the match for his brilliant bowling spell. England claim their second T20 world cup title in style under the captaincy of Jos Butler while Pakistan is the Runners up in the T20 World Cup Tournament 2022.
