COLOMBO :Supreme Court Judge Priyantha Jayawardena today recused himself from hearing the Fundamental Rights petition filed by former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen.
Bathiudeen had filed a Fundamental Rights petition seeking an interim order preventing CID from arresting him over Easter Sunday attack.
Accordingly, Supreme Court three-judge-bench comprising Justice Priyantha Jayawardena, L.T.B. Dehideniya and Justice Yasantha Kodagoda fixed the petition for support on August 7.(DM)
