COLOMBO: A Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Agriculture was signed between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Agricultural Wealth, Fisheries and Water Resources, and the Government of Sri Lanka, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Plantation Industries on Monday, June 10.
The Memorandum was signed on behalf of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman by Ahmed Bin Ali bin Said Al Rashdi, the Accredited Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Sri Lanka, and on behalf of the Government of Sri Lanka by the Minister Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industries.
This agreement reflects the distinguished relations between the two countries, enhancing and developing cooperation in areas such as official visiting, research’s and studies, import and export agricultural products and encouraging agricultural industries.
