COLOMBO: Sequel to arrangements made by the Sports Ministry, the Sri Lankan mission in Canberra will visit Danushka Gunathilaka in Sydney prison soon, Sports Ministry Secretary Dr. Amal Harsha De Silva said here on Thursday,Nov.10.
The Sri Lankan cricketer has been remanded on the charge of sexually assaulting a woman in Sydney.
Dr.Harsha De Silva said that he contacted the head of the Sri Lankan mission in Australia and inquired about Danushka’s health condition Danushka Gunathilaka is in good health. The Ministry informed the Sri Lanka mission head to give full report on him after meeting him personally, Dr Silva said. He said the High Commission has been keeping close contact with Danushka Gunathilake.
