COLOMBO : Under the auspices of Saudi Ambassador Khalid bin Hamoud Al-Kahtani and in the presence of the Sri Lankan Minister of Education, Dr. Susil Premajayantha, the professional examination agreement was signed between Takamol Business Solutions represented by Fawzan Al Muhaidib and the Sri Lankan Higher and Vocational Education Commission represented by Dr. A,K Lalithadheera, at the headquarters of the Sri Lankan Ministry of Education on Tuesday, March 21.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency State Minister of Affairs / Tharaka Balasuriya. and this agreement will enable the sending of trained Sri Lankan workers to the Kingdom to keep pace with the requirements of the Saudi business sector.


Signatories to the agreement, Dr. K Arachige Lalithadheera , director general of the National Human Resource Development Council of Sri Lanka- Ministry of Policy Planning and Executive Vice President of Takamul, Fowzan Al Muhaidib Dr.Lalithadheera K. Arachchige, director of the National Human Resource Development Council of Sri Lanka- Ministry of Policy Planning who signed the agreement on behalf of Sri Lanka said: “ This is good news to all Sri Lankans since their skills can be officially identified by the concerned Saudi authorities to provide them with suitable jobs.”
Saudi ambassador Khalid Hamoud Nasser Aldasam Alkahtani said following the signing ceremony that this is going to be a major development in the annals of the Saudi- Lanka bilateral relations.” The agreement will boost the manpower export from Sri Lanka to the Kingdom since Saudi Arabia needs more skilled workers from this part of the world.”
