Sri Lanka Indonesia Friendship Association (SLIFA) holds its Annual Members Night

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Indonesia Friendship Association (SLIFA) held its Annual Members Night at the Embassy of Indonesia in Colombo on Saturday January 28th.

The event was held under patronage of Ambassador Dewi Gustina,Tobing.

More than 100 members from both countries participated in this event.

In her brief address, the Indonesian Ambassador Tobing said that Sri Lanka families are in need of all forms of help amidst the economic crisis.

She recalled that her embassy distributed dry rations to the deserving people at a cost of 2.9 million Rupees to ease the difficulties of the common man.

Sri Lanka – Indonesia Cultural events entertained the audience at the annual get-together.

Winners of the various competitions got their prizes from the ambassador.

Sri Lanka and Indonesia celebrate their 70th year of diplomatic relations, while the Lanka-Indonesia Friendship Society completes 30 years of service to the nation.
