Earlier this year, Sri Lankan signed an agreement to procure a total of 500 jeeps for the Sri Lanka Police under the Indian Line of Credit.
The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval to purchase 750 jeeps for Sri Lanka Police including 150 jeeps for the Police Special Task Force.
The procurement of jeeps for the Sri Lanka Police has been awarded to the Mahindra and Mahindra Company of India.
