COLOMBO: The 74th Media Workshop of the Sri Lanka Muslim Media Forum (SLMMF) titled Media in the 21st Century – Electronic and Social Media , held on Saturday July 29. at Baduriya Central College (National School) in Mawanella,
The Workshop was chaired by SLMMF President Al-haj N M Ameen, and Principal of the School A.L. A Rahuman,
The Workshop was organized by the Past people girls Association of Mawanella, Baduriya Central College, Mawanella, More than 120 senior and junior students took part in the event.
Dr. M.C.M. Rasimin, Ph.D, in the filed of journalism -presently attached to Telecom University as senior Lecturer conducted the media workshop.
Advisor of SLMMF Thaha Muzamil, (Social Media ) SLMMF Media Coordinator – Javed Munawwar, Electronic and Media techniques and Ashraff.A.Samad, (Videography and photography practical training) enlightened the participants on their respective specialized subjects.
At the Evening during the cerrtificate awarding ceremony held at School Auditorium, the Chief Guest was the High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Sri Lanka Tareq Mohammed Ariful Islam and Mrs Ariful Islam who presented the awards and certificates to the Participants,
Former Principal of this school and former Head of Islamic studies department of the University of Peradeniya M.I, M. Ameen 45 years services in the field of University Education and education was felicitated by SLMMF and Old Girl Association of the School.
SLMMF Members Mrs. Fara Thahir, SLMMF Kegalla district Coordinator Ameer Hussain, SLMMF member and Vasantham TV News Manager, Sitheek Haniffa Forum Vice President M A M Nilam, Treasurer M M Jesmin and forum organizer Shatheek Shihan , Baduriya School old girls association Secrtary Dr. M.J.F Jameena (Kandy General Hospital) and members also participated in the programme.
