COLOMBO : Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabry said here on Thursday Feb.22 that the Sri Lanka-Saudi partnership is vital in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and beyond.
The Lankan Minister said this in a special statement to Colombo Times to mark the Founding Day if the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Feb.22.
In his statement, Sabry further said : “ On behalf of the government and people of Sri Lanka, I extend warm greetings to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the auspicious occasion of its Founding Day.
This significant day commemorates the establishment of the Kingdom and celebrates the rich history, culture, and progress of Saudi Arabia.
The enduring friendship between Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia is rooted in mutual respect, cooperation, and shared values. Our countries have enjoyed strong diplomatic ties spanning across various fields, including trade, investment, education, and cultural exchange.
As we mark this momentous occasion, I reaffirm our commitment to further strengthen and enhance the bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia for the mutual benefit of our nations and people.
Our partnership is vital in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and beyond.
