Saudi Arabia donates dates to Sri Lanka for Ramadan

COLOMBO : Saudi Arabia has donated 75 metric tons of Dates to Sri Lanka for distribution among the Muslims in the island.  

The consignment was handed to Mahinda Rajapaksa, Prime Minister and the Minister of Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Mahinda Rajapaksa last week by the Deputy Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Sri Lanka,  Riyab Al Sharif.  The ceremony was held at the Prime Minister’s official residence.
