COLOMBO : The Rotary Club of Colombo Metropolitan donated medicines to the value of 1.5 Million Rupees to the Kalmunai Base Hospital (North) earlier on Tuesday, Jan 10 as part of its ‘People For People’ Project.
The project spearheaded by Past President Dr. Farhim Jameel is to facilitate medical aid to hospitals in Sri Lanka which were adversely affected by the COVID-19 epidemic and as such faced an immense shortage in life saving medicines.
Rotary Club of Colombo Metropolitan was represented by Rt. Faizal Bahaudeen and Rt. Aman Ashraff who handed over the medicines to Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr. S. Rajendran, who received it on behalf of the Kalmunai Base Hospital.
