COLOMBO — The National Day of the State of Qatar was held in a grand manner at the Shangri-La Hotel Colombo on Wednesday December 11.
The chief guest of the ceremony Sunil Handunnetti, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development.
The host ,Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Sri Lanka and Maldives Jassim Bin Jaber Al – Sorour and the chief guest cut the anniversary cake before the dinner was served.
Former foreign Ali Sabry, Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation and Leader of the House Bimal Rathnayake, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Dr. Rizvi Salih, Deputy Minister of National Integration Muneer Mulaffer, Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa, Leader of Sri Lanka Muslim Congress Rauff Hakeem MP, Members of Parliament, All Ceylon YMMA Conference National President Amhar Shareef, Ambassadors, Secretaries to the Embassies, Foreign Ministry Officials, Qatar Embassy officials and Media Personnel were also present.
