COLOMBO : The Ambassador of the Qatar to Sri Lanka Jassim Bin Jabir Jassim Al Sorour visited the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL, Commission) on the 26th October 2022 and met with the Chairperson of the HRCSL Justice Rohini Marasinghe and other officials of the Commission.
Upon hearing of the work carried out by the HRCSL from the Chairperson, H.E. the Ambassador of the Qatar to Sri Lanka was most impressed and made assurances to communicate with the Chairperson of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI), and the Chairperson of the Qatar National Human Rights Commission, Maryam Abdullah Al Attiyah of the same. The Ambassador also stated unequivocally that he would disseminate the word about the good work carried out by the HRCSL at large
