COLOMBO : Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa told parliament on Wednesday, November 10 that immediate relief will be provided to people affected by adverse weather
The Prime Minister also informed the Speaker of the House that a report on this regard will be submitted to Parliament by the State Minister of National Security & Disaster Management Chamal Rajapaksa soon.
Prime Minister Rajapaksa requested all government and opposition members of parliament to assist the government in providing relief to the people affected by the floods and inclement weather. The Prime Minister also expressed his condolences to the families affected by the floods.Latest figures indicate that 25 people have died from floods, landslides and heavy rains, said the Disaster Management Center on Wednesday (10) evening.
