COLOMBO : On an initiative made by the Chief Incumbent of Narahenpita, Ven. Murutthettuwe Ananda Thera,representatives from the aggrieved Principals’ and Teachers Unions met Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaka at Temple Trees on Monday, October 11.
Ven. Murutthettuwe Ananda Thera told the press that he had initiated this dialogue in the interest of the education of the children and the prime minister was kind enough to give them an audience. “ The teachers had their own grievances and they hope resolve them through talks,” the Thera said,pointing out that there was no concrete decision made at the meeting, the priome minister had agreed to discuss this matter on Tuesday morning, October 12 to help the children get their education without any interruptions.
