COLOMBO : Officials from the Police Investigations Unit of the Presidential Commission probing the Easter Sunday attacks visited the former President Maithripala Sirisena’s Colombo residence to record a statement from him over the attacks on Wednesday.
The Police Unit of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing the Easter Sunday attacks had earlier informed former President Maithripala Sirisena to appear at the Police Unit on Wednesday August 26 to record a statement at its headquarters at the BMICH.
Earlier, the PCoI Police Unit had issued summons on former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe as well,
