People’s Convention For Good Governance at BMICH on Feb 25

COLOMBO : The time has come, when we as citizens of Sri Lanka, cannot sit back and suffer the consequences of rank bad governance by successive elected governments. What we require is a complete overhaul of the present system, a fresh infusion of thought, and the ideal prescription for good governance, to be followed by our political leadership.

In this quest, the Trust for Good Governance has convened the People’s Convention For Good Governance on Saturday 25 th February at the Main Conference Hall of the BMICH. Commencing sharp at 9.30 am the delegates who will be invited are the President and Prime Minister of Sri Lanka together with the Cabinet, the Leader of the Opposition and other identified Parliamentarians and political parties leaders, the Diplomatic Community, the local and international print & electronic media, cross-section of the voting masses, the scholars young and old and selected corporate leaders.

They will give ear to Key Note address, think tanks forming panels for discussion on Economy, Education, Production, and Ethnicity. Moderators will question them to arrive at how we became a bankrupt nation , the present status of the economy and how we got into being there and the solution for steady economic growth. The same process will be followed analyzing Education, Production and Ethnic issues.
