COLOMBO : On an initiative made by Nauzer Fowzie, former Western Province Councilor, the Dubai-based Saeeda Foundation made a donation of Rs 35 million to construct a three- storeyed building at Kalaimagal Tamil Vidyalaya in Colombo .
The donation was made in response to a request made by parliamentarian Mano Ganeshan who jointly presented a cheque for Rs 10 million with Fowzie to the school principal on Tuesday, Feb 6.
Earlier, Fowzie made a payment of Rs seven million to commence the operations of the proposed complex.
Speaking to Colombo Times, Fowzie said the purpose of the donation is to enhance the facilities and quality of studies in the Educational Sector in the country.
