OIC Secretary-General Receives the Ambassador of Sri Lanka for a Farewell Call 

JEDDAH : The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Hissein_Brahim_Taha, received on n Wednesday, March 27, , the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,. Pakeer Mohideen Amza, who, at the end of his term of duty, paid a farewell call on the Secretary-General. During the meeting, both sides discussed the importance of continued dialogue and the prospects for enhancing cooperation between the OIC and #SriLanka. The Ambassador informed the Secretary-General about the situation of the Muslim Community in Sri Lanka and its important role in the country. He also underlined that the support of Sri Lanka to the Palestinian cause has been consistent and steadfast over the years. The Secretary-General underscored the importance that OIC attaches to the well-being of Muslim Communities and Minorities around the world, including in Sri Lanka, and welcomed the efforts of the Sri Lankan Government in this regard. He expressed hope to work closely with the Government of Sri Lanka on issues of mutual interest.
