COLOMBO – The Muslim Hands Sri Lanka commemorated its 20 years of Humanitarian and Development Services in Sri Lanka. It was held at the Kings’ Court, Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo on Monday October 23.
Welcome address delivered by Muslim Hands Chairman Lakhte Hassnain Shah.
Muslim Hands Sri Lanka Country Director A.M. Mihlar, Members of Parliament Rauff Hakeem and Eran Wickramaratne also addressed the gathering.
Mihlar said the Muslim Hands providing quality education, access to clean water, basic healthcare facilities, food and livehood opportunities for individuals and families irrespective of faiths . Also Muslim Hands is inspired by its faith to deliver the maximum benefits with integrity, sincerity, kindness and mercy to the needy.
Muslim Hands is registered institution with the Ministry of Social Service and its active in Sri Lanka since the 2004 Tsunami Disaster. Also established its country office in 2008.
Muslim Hands operates in various sectors including Education for Orphans, Water, Livehood, Healthcare, Food, Security and Emergencies.
Presentation of mementoes were made to the foreign dignitaries and Muslim Hands staff by guests at this ceremony.
Ambassadors and representatives from Embassies, State Minister Kader Masthan, former Governor Western Province Azath Salley, former Ambassador Ansar Ibrahim Sahib Ansar ,Members of Parliament, Media Personnel and representatives of Muslim Organizations lwere present.
