COLOMBO: Public Security Minister Sarath Weerasekara has directed the police to conduct a detailed investigation into the attack on Kelaniya University Medical Faculty students in Ragama Tuesday, Feb,1 night.
Accordingly, the Kelaniya Division SSP under the supervision of Western Province Senior DIG has dispatched two special police teams to conduct investigations. The medical students who had apprehended a vehicle belonging to a State institution along with its driver had handed them over to the Ragama Police, the Minister said.
He said that he had instructed them to investigate all the available evidence and take legal action against the offenders.
