COLOMBO : Year 2022 was an extremely difficult one for most of the countries around the globe. I am very happy to see that Sri Lanka is gradually overcoming the challenges it faced last year. I am sure the new year will bring further stability, prosperity, and peace for the people of Sri Lanka.
I am also hopeful that 50 years of Bangladesh-Sri Lanka bilateral relations will be further consolidated in the year 2023. As a trusted partner and long-standing friend, Bangladesh will continue to stand firmly with Sri Lanka for the mutual benefit of the two peoples.
I wish the friendly people of Sri Lanka a very joyous, prosperous, and successful New Year 2023.
