On the auspicious occasions of the holy Hajj pilgrimage and Eid-ul-Adha, I extend my sincere greetings and felicitations to the Muslims in Sri Lanka and around the world.
Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, teaches us the value of living in peace and harmony, and sacrifice. The pilgrimage encourages us to put away the negative traits in ourselves as well. I believe, by embracing the teachings of Hajj, better societies could be built where people will respect each other’s values-tradition-beliefs. I pray that all the pilgrims could have a Hajj full of barakah and also that all the Muslims could perform Hajj at least once in their life. May Almighty Allah grant all our well-wishes, sacrifices and prayers on these holy days.
Eid Mubarak!
