On behalf of the Government of Nepal and its people, we send our warmest wishes to the people of Sri Lanka on the occasion of the 76th Independence Day.
Freedom, inherent amongst all of us, could be realized in its true sense through the peace, progress and prosperity of all humankind. Recalling the close relationship that exists between Nepal and Sri Lanka, I am certain that both our friendship and collaborative efforts on attaining the values of the UN Charter shall further strengthen in the days to come.
As Sri Lanka celebrates this historic day, I pray for the health and prosperity of the people of Sri Lanka on behalf of the Nepal and its people.
