Mehidy magic allows Bangladesh to beat India by one wicket

MIRPUR: Bangladesh beat India by one wicket after a record 10th wicket partnership in a successful ODI chase between Mehidy Hasan and M Rahman allowing to reach 187 for 9 wickets to surpass the target set by India in the first of the three match one day international series between the two teams played in Bangladesh. Mehidy Hasan scored a magical knock of 38 off 39 balls to allow Bangladesh to record its 6th win in ODI against India.

India batting first scored 186 in 41.2 overs. K L Rahul top scored with 73 runs for India while Shakib Al Hasan picked up 5 wickets for 36 runs while E Hossain picked up 4 for 47 runs. Bangladesh  chase was led by Litton Das with 41 runs but wickets kept falling and in the 40th over Bangladesh were 136 for 9 wickets. M Rahman and Mehidy Hasan together saw Bangladesh to the winning line with Mehidy hitting 2 sixers and 4 fours in his match winning knock of 38 runs. Mehidy was named the player of the match.
