COLOMBO : President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will attend the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the President’s Media Division (PMD) announced here on Friday,Sept.10.
This year’s session is scheduled to open on September 14 in New York, United States.
The high-level general debate will subsequently take place from September 21 – September 27.
The main policy-making body of the UN meets in regular sessions from September to December each year, and thereafter as required. It discusses specific issues through dedicated agenda items or sub-items, which lead to the adoption of resolutions.
