COLOMBO: On a recommendation made by Trade Minister Nalin Fernand0, the cabinet of ministers has decided to import eggs to curtail its rising prices.
Despite the approved selling price of eggs fixed at Rs 50, the consumers get the eggs from the shops only for Rs 67.
The sellers claim that they are helpless when the eggs are sold by the farms for Rs 65.
