COLOMBO: The Sri Lankan embassy in Oman has set up a special help desk for its migrant workers, who have symptoms of Covid-19 virus.
Speaking to Colombo Times from Muscat, Lankan Ambassador O.L.Ameer Ajwad said that his mission has set up this new service to assist fellow Sri Lankan expatriates living in Oman during this challenging time due to the outbreak of COVID – 19 pandemic.
In this context, the envoy said he is taking another measure to assist Sri Lankan nationals in Oman who have symptoms of Corona virus or who are COVID 19 tested positive. “For this purpose, we have set up a ‘COVID 19 Contact Tracing Task Force for Sri Lankans in Oman’ under Sri Lanka Community Social Club to identify Sri Lankans who have symptoms of Corona virus or who are COVID 19 tested positive and to guide them for required medical treatments, quarantine facilities and isolation procedures,” he said.
Therefore, he said, a request has been made to Sri Lankans in Oman, who have symptoms of COVID 19 or who are COVID 19 tested positive to make use of this facility and contact immediately the following hotline number to obtain mission’s services in this regard-79104838.
