KANDY: The Minister of Justice Ali Sabry found his time on Friday to witness the progress of the first modern Harmony Center that is being constructed in a mosque at Katukelle kandy.
During his schedules, the minister paid courtesy calls on the Mahanayake Thero s and Anunayake thers of the Malawatte,Asgiriya and Ramaayanika chapters and also visited the Getambe Temple in the hill capital
Once completed, the proposed Harmony Center will be in par with similar international harmony Centers such as in Singapore. It will be opened to the public and it’s objective is to promote harmony and clear the mistrusts between various religions, educate all community about different faiths and promote harmony and unity among all citizens of Sri Lanka.
The initiative promoted by the All-Ceylon Jamiyyathul Umala(ACJU) and Board of trustees of the mosque and there are plans to set up future similar centers in all principal towns in Sri Lanka.
