Abu Dhabi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) teased the audience till the last ball to give a thrilling end to a high scoring match. CSK secured the win in the last ball of the innings by reaching the total of 171 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.
KKR won the toss and batted first recording 171 runs for 6 wickets at the end of 20 overs. CSK opening pair of Gaikwad and Du Plessis continued their successful run and put up an opening partnership of 74 runs. However, after a stumble, it was Ravindra Jadeja’s 22 runs off 8 balls which assisted CSK to edge over KKR. Moeen Ali hit 32 runs off 28 balls.
Sunil Narine for KKR bowled brilliantly in the 20th over however Deepak Chahar hit the winning run in the last ball which ensured that CSK regains the top slot in the points table with 16 points. KKR is in the 4th position with 8 points. (Pic courtesy Indian Express)
