DUBAI : Delhi Capitals (DC) won by 4 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a duel which is almost a pre rehearsal for a qualifier match. CSK seems to have lost its winning charm with the 2nd loss and also losing its No.01 position in the points table. DC now leads the points table with 20 points with CSK in 2nd place (18 points) followed by RCB (16 points) and KKR (12 points). Shimron Hetmyer blasted a quick fire 28 runs off 18 balls to grab a win from CSK in the last over of the innings.
Earlier DC won the toss and decided to bowl first. CSK’s openers for the first failed with Faf du Plessis scoring only 10 and Gaikwad only 13 runs. Both openers were back in the dressing room within the 5th over. Raydu steadied the innings with a half century (55 runs off 43 balls). CSK only scored 136 for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.
DC batting was dominated by Shikar Dhawan with 39 runs and Hetmyer 28 runs. DC won the match in 19.4 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.
