COLOMBO : A group of Muslims in Tamil Nadu, South India, staged a massive demonstration before the Lankan mission in Chennai on Friday to convey their protest against the cremation of covid infected remains of Muslims in Sri Lanka.
They shouted slogans to say that this forced cremation against the will of Lankan Muslims is a violation of their fundamental rights. A petition of handed over to the deputy high commissioner of the mission for necessary action by the island’s government.
The protest was organized by Tamil Nadu Progressive Front led by Professor M.H.Jawahrisha and supported by Kulangudy R.M.Haniffa.
