COLOMBO : Indian High Commissioner Gopal Baglay hosted a farewell reception to the members of the Sri Lankan parliament.on Wednesday December 6.
“ We convey our gratitude to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena , Ministers, Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa and all MPs and officials who attended the event,” the high commissioner said .
Baglay will be leaving for Australia to take up appointment as high commissioner of his country.
In Colombo , Baglay will be succeeded by Indian diplomat Santosh Jha who currently serves as the Indian Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union.
