COLOMBO – The Education Ministry has decided to declare Friday,December 9 as a Special Holiday for all Government, and Government-funded schools.
The decision was made after consulting the Department of Meteorology, and the Disaster Management Center on the present weather situation where a heavy smog is experienced across many parts of the country.
