Hameed Al Husseinie College celebrates its 137th Anniversary

COLOMBO — Hameed Al Husseinie College, Colombo celebrated its 137th Anniversary Celebration on Monday November 15 at the College premises.  It was held under the patronage of Principal of the College A.K.T. Adahan.

Hameed Al Husseinie College, Colombo is  first Muslim Boys School  in Sri Lanka was founded by late Sidde Lebbe, late  Wapichchi Marikar and late Orabi Pasha on 15th of November 1884 under the name Al Madrasathul Khairiyathul Islamiah

Principal A. K. T. Adahan and Deputy Principal J. M. Padmasiri cut the cake to mark the anniversary in the presence of the old boys.

Old Boys Association Secretary Fazmin Faiz presented memento to the Principal A.K.T. Adahan for his service to the College.

Also presented gift vouchers and mementos to the teachers and students from primary and secondary section at this ceremony.    

Vice Principal (Primary) Ms. M.H.F. Muzniya, General Secretary School Development Committee A.R.M. Nawazdeen, Deputy President OBA Sujabdeen Sheriff, Teachers, Students, Exco Members of Old Boys Association, President and Secretaries of Group of 80, Past Prefects Guild, Batch 2K2 (Group of 90 ,  and  Hameedian Football Club were also present.
